As an ICC member you can use Club keelboats that you are competent to sail at £20 per person per half day, and use the facilities onboard Egremont, our headquarters ship, including showers and the Bar at weekends. You can also join in with social events, special sailing trips and the racing programme whenever you are able.
The Club is most active at the weekends from May until end of September from 1700 on Fridays to 1700 on Sundays. New members are welcome to join the Club, and novices can be helped to gain sailing experience. The local Club sailors use the Club's keelboat fleet of Squibs and Solings. We welcome all abilities, but novices may benefit from completing the RYA beginner’s courses run from Egremont by ICC Salcombe Ltd, or perhaps brushing up with some private tuition from one of their experienced Instructors. We really encourage our members to get involved with not just sailing, but maintaining the Club fleet (especially the keelboats) and helping with social and special sailing events. So if you have any ideas get in touch – after all it is your club!
Hot showers are available for after sailing at weekends, although there are some restrictions when there are groups of children on board.
The Club organises barbeques and bistro evenings on certain Saturdays during the season.
