RYA Dinghy Instructor Training and Assessment Course

This course is for the experienced dinghy sailor who is hoping to attain their RYA Dinghy Instructor qualification. It teaches you the RYA method, the structure of the RYA, how to teach sailing and preparation of sessions both ashore and afloat. On the last day you will be assessed to establish whether you have the required practical, theoretical and teaching skills to be awarded the RYA Dinghy Instructor Qualification. Further details are available in the RYA Dinghy Coaching Handbook and Logbook (G14) All participants in this course will be required to present proof of the “Pre-entry requirements”. You must have the following:
- RYA Powerboat level 2
- First Aid certificate
- Pre-entry Sailing Assessment
These courses are available at the ICC, either as a 6 day block or as separate courses.
